Maine Cruise Ship Lines touring the Maine Coast

Portland, Maine is a port of call for large cruise ships. Most ships dock at the Maine State Pier's Portland Ocean Terminal in Old Port. The terminal offers tourist information, restrooms and telephones. Over 45,000 cruise-ship passengers visited Portland in 2004. Lines servicing Portland include Cunard, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity and Princess. Some cruise lines also stop in Bar Harbor, Maine enroute to the Canadian Maritime Provinces (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia and Newfoundland).
