Maine Cross-Country Ski Trails, Snowshoeing and
Ice Skating: The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center offers
cross-country skiing on 100 km of the best groomed trails
in the East, a warm, comfortable lodge with magnificent
views, an olympic-size skating rink, snowshoeing, and more.
The trails weave through the village and lodging facilities
at the base of Sugarloaf, & the Longfellow Mountains
between Sugarloaf, Crocker, and the Bigelow mountains, three
of the four largest mountains in the state. All trails are
well marked and rated for ability. Ski clinics are held
daily during the season. Other amenities include a solar-heated
lodge, cafe, trailside warming hut, and olympic size skating
